Choose
on the menu to obtain a link to a
document
or
folder which is suitable for posting on social media or other
third party sites (such as Slack) which can produce a box summarising the item.
When sites and apps like Facebook, Twitter and Slack see a URL,
they fetch and produce a summary of the page. Where the page requires
a login to access it, as with Ensembling, then the preview will
describe the login page which they get directed to when the fetch the
page, as they are not and cannot be logged in.
You need to be aware that by doing this you are potentially making
public some of the content of the page, or at least posting it outside
the group of people who would normally have access.
The preview includes:
- document name,
- medium sized image of first page (larger than a thumbnail,
so text may be readable),
- comment deadline,
- introductory text, and
- the first few lines of the text of the first page (if any),
- the caption of an image (if any)
